ColorFull and ColorFull+
ColorFull
ColorFull offers bright, full color low power video capable displays with
good contrast, color gamut, and excellent viewing angle. ColorFull displays
will be available in reflective, transreflective and tranmissive forms.
Targeted at mobile applications the ColorFull™ platform adds a color filter
to the Liquavista ColorBright™ architecture and uses a black dye as the
optical switch. The result is a display that has a strongly improved optical
performance compared to a full-color LCD.
We make use of standard components, including active-matrix backplanes,
driver ICs and color filters. As the technology continues to mature, more
and more amplitude-modulated gray scales will be introduced in this product
line, thereby increasing the application scope further.
ColorFull+
ColorFull+ is the ultimate ultra-high brightness color and video capable
display with high resolution magazine-quality color performance.
This is
done by stacking the basic single layer electrowetting architectures on
top of each other. Two complementary switchable colors can be combined
in each display panel. In this case sub-pixelation is not required which
increases display resolution and decreases the number of TFT’s per plate.
