FPD a Triumph!

FPD proved to be a spectactular success for Liquavista with the reception to our latest demos extremely positive. People got the chance to see for themselves what high performance paperlike displays with a fast dynamic display interface can do for next generations EBRs.

At the same time they got a look at how good colour and video can be in a new generation of display that we call LCD2.

The experience justified what we believe is possible when this segment gets dynamic, with interactive interfaces, and the versatility to manage larger document formats (including web-content, and broadsheet newspapers).

Being able to show larger format displays with full color and video capability for the first time also had a profound impact on industry perceptions. Endless comparisons were made as to the impact of EBRs on the mobile computing market, once these features become available. At the end of the day EBRs have to improve on usability if they are to appeal to a broader consumer base, and justify the premiums consumers are being asked to part with.
